Sajdah Abdul-Karim inducted into National Junior Honors Society

tumblr_inline_n4b58hUgLK1sa43ngSajdah Abdul-Karim, a student at the Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School in Hamden was inducted into the National Junior Honors Society for her high academic achievement.

She recounted her accomplishment in the New Haven Register: “Along with scholarship, community service is another responsibility of being part of the honor society. Some of the community service work I’ve done while maintaining an A average include: volunteering during the summer at a monthly mobile food pantry sponsored by the Connecticut Food Bank, and as a member of the junior league of the International League of Muslim women, we visit the elderly and raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life walk.”
