Khan Academy’s Salman Khan receives David Packard Award

salmankhanSalman Khan of Khan Academy who has revolutionized online education recently received the prestigious David Packard Award at the annual State of the Valley conference.

The award is presented annually by Joint Venture to a person who brings an entrepreneurial, cross-boundary, problem-solving approach to our region’s challenges. The recipients embody the spirit of David Packard, Silicon Valley’s legendary pioneer who set the highest standard for civic engagement.

The Khan Academy provides online math lessons for more than 10 million unique visitors in about 200 countries every month.
