The Urdu language show is the brainchild of  Haroon Rashid, who conceived of it as a way to emphasize the importance of girls’ education and teach children other lessons, such as protecting the environment and respect for elders.

“Each one of our episodes is centered around a moral, which sends out strong social messages to kids and it is cloaked in pure entertainment, laughter, action and adventure.”Rashid said about his new show.

Jia is the school teacher who is hiding under the burqa, an orphan raised by Kabaddi Jan, her adoptive father. She is helped by three kids, Ashu and her twin brother Immu and their best friend Mooli (who loves to eat radishes), and their pet Golu.

They are fighting against local thugs Baba Bandooq and Vadero Pajero who want to close the girl’s school in the imaginary city of  Halwapur in Pakistan.

The song playing in the background is “Don’t mess with the lady in black, when she’s on the attack”!

This cartoon was aired on Pakistan” Geo at the end of July, 2013.
